First Nissan Magnite Produced in Egypt

The Prime Minister stated that the launch of the first locally produced Nissan Magnite reflects the country’s efforts to deepen local manufacturing and support industrial localization.

He also highlighted the Egyptian government’s commitment to supporting global companies in expanding their investments in the Egyptian market, especially through transferring advanced technologies and increasing the local component percentage in vehicles.

The Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade confirmed that the production of this vehicle demonstrates Egypt’s ability to attract global investments, while the Minister of Industry explained that this project represents a result of the national plan aimed at developing the automotive industry in Egypt.

Additionally, Nissan’s investments in Egypt have reached approximately $276 million, along with an additional $45 million investment allocated for the local assembly of the Nissan Magnite.

Nissan officials also confirmed that the local component percentage in the vehicle has exceeded 55%, while production capacity has increased to 50,000 vehicles annually.

In recent years, Nissan’s exports exceeded 25,000 vehicles, while the company provided around 1,000 direct job opportunities and 5,000 indirect job opportunities.

The company’s market share in the automotive sector reached 18.6%, and the factory recorded more than 28,000 vehicles, marking the highest production rate in its history.
