Increase in Vehicle Licences in Egypt During 2026

BYD continues to lead vehicle licences registrations in March across traffic units in Egypt, recording an increase of 133 vehicles compared to the previous month. Today, we present the monthly report issued by the Egyptian Compulsory Motor Insurance Pool, highlighting the ranking of car brands during March via El Laithy Auto Group.

Here is the monthly report released by traffic units in Egypt, which includes the top 10 rankings for March, along with the number of vehicles registered for each brand:

• First place: BYD leads with 507 vehicles, maintaining its top position in vehicle registrations for the second consecutive month. The Sealion 06 was the top contributor with 119 vehicles.
• Second place: Deepal holds second position with 167 vehicles, with the S05 accounting for the majority at 98 units.
• Third place: Arcfox ranks third with 107 vehicles among the top 10 brands in March registrations.
• Fourth place: Forthing takes fourth place with 102 registered vehicles during March.
• Fifth place: Volkswagen continues to decline amid rising competition from new Chinese brands, ranking fifth with 90 vehicles.
• Sixth place: Avatr comes sixth with 77 vehicles, sharing the same position with Rox, which recorded the same number of registered units.
• Seventh place: XPeng ranks seventh with 75 vehicles registered in March.
• Eighth place: Mercedes secures eighth place with 72 registered vehicles.
• Ninth place: Dongfeng takes ninth position with 59 registered vehicles.
• Tenth place: Chevrolet ranks tenth and last among the top brands, with 47 vehicles registered during March.
